The method describes the procedure to determine the elastic return of bitumen ligands at a certain temperature.
UNI EN 13589 – 13703:
The method describes the characterization under traction of the bitumen ligands.
For the determination of ductility of bitumen.
Stainless steel casing with isolated water bath and stepper motor providing a variable speed range 1 to 50 mm/min with digital displacement measuring system, rapid speed with 250 mm/min is also available.
Up to 4 samples can be tested simultaneously.
The bath is further equipped with a stainless steel cover with windows.
One of the test places is equipped with a load cell 500,00 N, resolution 0,02 N (100,00 N,resolution 0,004 N is available as an option).
Three more load cells can be attached.
The machine is controlled with PC and Windows-software allowing programming of different test sequences by the operator and with online grafics of load and displacement as well as the calculation of planimetry and saving of test results in dBase format.
A special sequence programme allows an almost automatic elastic reset test of bitumen without cutting the sample. (only possible with load cell).
