Description
The Cold Cranking Simulator CCS™2100-G6 determines the apparent viscosity of lubricating oils at temperatures ranging from -40 °C to -5 °C, within a viscosity range of 900 mPa·s to 25,000 mPa·s, using a solid-state thermoelectric temperature control system.
The brand-new CCS™2100-G6 is fully automatic: sample loading, operation entirely controlled by the integrated PC, and no cleaning solvents required.
After the initial loading and sample identification, no further operator involvement is needed.
The CCS™2100-G6 can automatically test up to 14 samples in a single run, calculate viscosity, and log the results.
Key strengths of the new system include:
- Compact, integrated interface to reduce instrument footprint—no external PC or chiller is needed.
- Touchscreen interface provides full control of the instrument: configuration, testing, diagnostics, data saving, and export via USB or Ethernet.
- Advanced calibration system
A significant time-saver for laboratories seeking to maximize productivity and reduce oil waste.
The new CCS™2100-G6 is compliant with ASTM D5293 and SAE J300 test methods.
