Automatic viscometers CAV 2000

Description

The CAV 2000 Series provides fully automatic viscometers for kinematic viscosity testing of oil products, fuel oils and new or used lubricants.

Fully automatic: easy to use, temperature accuracy and stability is better than ASTM D 445 requirements.
The standard version of a CAV2000 viscometer includes two multirange tubes and two automatic sample testing units which can be extracted and easily cleaned. In addition they can be always and easily monitored by the operator.
The viscometer is managed with VISCPRO II, a Windows software.
Up to four CAV 2000 viscometers can be managed by a single PC.

VISCPRO is powerful and easy to use. Viscosity analyses can be displayed on the computer screen, printed, saved to an ASCII file or transmitted to the user's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) via a serial connection.
VISCPRO is equipped with different levels of monitoring and safety procedures to prevent undesired changes in configuration options or testing procedures.

Size of a viscometer with a double, multirange tube:

width: 30.5 cm
depth: 72.7 cm
height: 124.5 cm

A metal support is available upon request (width 65 cm, depth 76 cm, height 73 cm) which can host two viscometers with a double, multirange tube.

Analysis method

The analysis method and precision levels comply with ASTM D 445/D446 and ISO 3104 requirements.

Cleaning and drying system

The CAV2000® viscometer has an automatic, accurate and fast cleaning and drying system. Different solvents or blends can be used.

Results Database

The software provides user-configurable reports which can be used to retrieve selected information from the database. Analyses can be displayed on the computer screen, printed, saved to an ASCII file or transmitted to the user's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) via a serial connection.
